Provitalize by Better Body Company is marketed to women over age 40 as a "holistic curcumin-probiotic formula" to reduce achy joints and weight gain attributed to declining estrogen levels. The Provitalize website promises the formula will "Put the Spring Back in Your Joints," which is an interesting shift in focus, as in the past, the supplement appeared to be mainly promoted for weight management, although its ingredients have remained the same. While there is preliminary evidence that some of the ingredients in Provitalize may have a modest benefit for joint pain and/or weight management, the exact combination of ingredients in the Provitalize formula does not appear to have been tested in any published, clinical trials.

I used to take this and honestly I truly felt it was helping joint pain, and I received some shipments of it that had an awful smell and taste. They fought me on the return. Then I read about that case report mentioned in the article about a 49 yr old woman who died from acute liver failure https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11415125/

I take Provitalize, and I haven't had this issue, but I wonder if it has something to do with the turmeric in it. It hasn't helped me lose weight, but I think it has helped with mood swings and hot flashes.

Started taking Provitalize for weight loss and didn't help with that but it did help my back and leg pain. However, after taking it for 3 to 4 months my SGPT (ALT liver enzyme) jumped to more than twice the normal level.
