Answer:
Plasmalogens, a type of phospholipid (i.e., a compound made up of a fat and a phosphate group), are marketed as supplements to improve cognitive function and focus, support memory, and reduce brain fog, especially in older adults. While there is some preliminary evidence that plasmalogens play a role in brain function, the evidence for it being useful as a supplement for people is very limited, including a very preliminary clinical study published in 2022.
At the same time, the cost for plasmalogens is relatively high for a supplement ($2.50 or more per daily serving for products such as Daiwa Brain Health, NeuroREGAIN, ProdromeGlia, and ProdromeNeuro).

January 03, 2025I’ve been taking ProdromeNeuro since it was available and hope to continue taking it as I believe that it positively affects my cognition. I have no financial stake or other interest in Prodrome.com, just a lot of gratitude.

October 13, 2024Had been buying Japanese plasmalogen tiny capsules for a very long time and had not been sure of the improvement in Brain function. It was made from squid plasmalogen. Well that has stopped as I get enough from my diet.

October 11, 2024We constantly see new substances marketed with practically no research. And with enough marketing, something like Prevagen sells. But I do find the less known citicoline worthwhile for memory and visual acuity. I personally buy the cognizin brand.

July 22, 2023What is the source of Prodrome Glia? I cannot find the source on the website or on the web. Thank you.
Like ProdromeNeuro, ProdromeGlia is synthetic.
