Supplements for PCOS

Answer:

Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), previously called polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), is the most common hormonal disorder in women of childbearing age.

There is no cure for PMOS, but lifestyle management (dietary, exercise and behavioral interventions) and use of certain medications can help manage some PMOS symptoms. There is evidence suggesting that some supplements can help manage symptoms of PMOS. These supplements include inositols (myo-inositol and D-chiro-inositol), alpha-lipoic acid, berberine, chromium, vitamin B-12 and folic acid, vitamin D, melatonin, probiotics, and quercetin. There is also very preliminary evidence that fenugreek extract may be helpful.
