Probiotic Prevents Bloating from Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) -- (2/21/2015) Acid-blocking PPI drugs, such as Prilosec (omeprazole) and Protonix (pantoprazole) may cause people to experience bloating and other unpleasant bowel symptoms, possibly due to overgrowth of bacteria in the intestine.
